REVIEW

Building on the success of Halo 1 & 2 Microsoft and Bungie decided it was time a sequel was made to Halo 2. It was time for the companies to test out the power of the Xbox 360. Thus Halo 3 was created and released to the Xbox 360 exclusively of course to the vast Halo community this was a true blessing. Now I never was into the Halo series religiously I usually just completed the game on Legendary then played some multi-player then left it alone for a while. This new entry into the series is truly a sight to beheld, finally Halo is brought to life with 720p native resolution don't worry your TV up scales it to 1080p if you have that option. The game looks beautiful played on a 1080p screen and you really feel as if you are indeed the 1 chance for the end to a raging inter-galactic war. This is why the game scores a 8/10 for graphics although there was a rumour that Halo 3 is in fact not HD native at all but up scaled, I don't know if that rumour was every quashed. Gameplay wise the game is smooth halo 1 & 2 players will be able to jump right in and engage the Flood, basically anyone who is familiar with the FPS (First Person Shooter) genre will feel right at home and even if you not it has a sort of prologue where you can get to grips with Master Chief's controls etc. Its reply value is in fact very high due to the fact of boasting alot of multi-player options such as Co-Op campaign where you and 4 others can play through the games story mode, 1 thing to note is that their is hidden skulls throughout the levels which once collected can be activated in campaign to make the experience more hardcore for you Halo nutters out there. Of course it wouldn't be Halo if there wasn't a slayer option either it be everyone for himself or in teams of 8 or so players. This is sure to keep Halo fans alike, to keep coming back for more. Overall the game deserves a solid 8/10, scoring 8 for graphics, gameplay and reply value its will worthy of that score.
