REVIEW Devil May Cry 4 starts off somewhere between Devil May Cry 4 and Devil May Cry 3. Not that its a bad thing but it seems pretty silly doing prequels to a game that has already 1 sequel and now 2 prequels Devil May Cry 3 and 4 being prequels that is. The game is true to Devil May Cry's over the top action sequences and epic boss fights. Graphically the game is sound apart for the shadows textures which become very distinctive in bright stages such as the forest level. Game play is where Devil May Cry 4 truly shows is worth with fast animations and seamless combos you truly feel as if you are Dante or Nero. Devil May Cry has always had a variety of weapons but for some reason Devil May Cry 4 suffers in this aspect in that Nero just has a Sword and a sword which of course can be upgraded as you go through the games story mode. Dante on the other hand has a bit more variety having different weapons and fighting styles to choose from, weapons are attained by playing through Dante's story mode and again all his weapons, styles can be upgraded. Overall I would strongly suggest any Devil May Cry fan purchase this title and if you are unsure rent it out, again if you loved the Ninja Gaiden series you will feel right at home here.
